BUILDING REGULATIONS

HELPING YOU GET BUILDING REGULATIONS APPROVAL

As well as providing a full planning and design service, we can also help you get building regulations approval for your building work.

This is different to the planning application process and usually comes after you have got planning permission or your certificate of lawful development.

Building regulations are rules to help make sure that all new constructions, conversions, alterations and extensions are built to a minimum standard and meet certain health, safety and welfare conditions.

Our service also includes creating the detailed structural calculations that your builder needs for the construction work.

HOW DO I GET BUILDING REGULATIONS APPROVAL?

We can put together a package of the plans and structural drawings needed for building regulations approval. The package includes buildings specifications, detailed sections drawings, information about the foundations, fire safety, structure, insulation, and timber design.

We then submit these with all of the right paperwork to a Building Control Body (this can be your local council, or we can recommend private building control bodies), and help you get building regulations approval.

The building regulations inspector will review the plans, inspect the building site as works progress and issue the final completion certificate.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO GET BUILDING REGULATIONS APPROVAL?

Contact us to discuss your case - we can undertake this work for you whether we worked on your planning application or not.
